WDHA: A Year in Pictures – 2011

Good morn’ or evening, friends.  Well, 2011 has come and gone, and it was, without question, a stellar year for music!  The promise and momentum of the albums released in late 2010 – Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Aloe Blacc’s Good Things, Cee-Lo Green’s The Lady Killer, etc. – rolled right into the new year, and the proof is in pudding; artists like Jill Scott, Danger Mouse, Pharoahe Monch, Orrin Evans, Marsha Ambrosuis, Saigon, Ben Williams, The Roots and so many more made landmark recordings that should prove to stand the test of time.  At the same time, the city on New York played host to countless concerts, festivals, conferences and events that cemented 2011’s musical potency.  As a celebration of the strides made by all these great artists, here is a photo retrospective of just some of those great events that WDHA has fortunate enough to witness in 2011:
